Lagos Fashion Week wrapped on Sunday with record-breaking attendance and a clear creative direction: sustainability is no longer a buzzword for African designers — it is the default.

Over 60 designers from across the continent showcased collections at the Federal Palace Hotel, with adire, aso oke, hand-loomed cotton and recycled denim featuring prominently.

Standout Collections

  • Lisa Folawiyo — futuristic ankara with hand-beaded geometry.
  • Kenneth Ize — gender-fluid aso oke tailoring.
  • Tiffany Amber — flowing resort-wear in plant-dyed linens.
  • Emmy Kasbit — sharp suiting in handwoven Akwete.

Industry observers estimate the week generated over ₦8 billion in direct economic activity, with major international buyers from Selfridges, Net-a-Porter and Browns in attendance.
